Breaking away from traditional variable pricing models, the new DataFort service charges an annual fee according to the overall storage capacity of each backed up server. RRPs for a full year of unlimited backup space (the size of the backup can be considerably larger than the source data as it includes multiple file versions) are: £349 for 500 GB servers, £499 for servers with disk capacity above 500GB and less than one terabyte, and £899 for capacities between one and two terabytes. These yearly fees equate to the cost of a single month’s backup service from most competing brands.
